The Pope resigns

85 year old Pope Benedict XVI has today announced that he is stepping down as Pope. In his speech he stated that the reason for his resignation was due to ill health, which is an unusual move considering that the last Pope to resign before his death was over 600 years ago.

Many are calling the move brave, signifying a modern age.
