'Last week the Houston City Council passed an ordinance requiring people who sell precious metals to be fingerprinted and photographed.
According to KTRK-TV, the ordinance is “meant to help track down criminals who try to resell stolen valuables. Gold-buying businesses will now be required to photograph and fingerprint sellers as well as photograph the items that are being sold to the dealer.” In other words, citizens who sell gold will be considered criminals until they demonstrate otherwise.'

ICC Note: Christian and other minority groups in Sudan continue to be victimized by a government that has been accused for war crimes by the International Criminal Court. After South Sudan split away from Sudan in 2011, many through the victimization of Christians in Sudan would be a thing of the past. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Christians and other minority groups remain under attack.

ICC Note: After three years of being attacked by the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram, Christians in Nigeria are becoming suspicious of all Muslims living in Nigeria. This development is somewhat understandable when one considers how many Christian have been specifically targeted and murdered by the extremist group. But, this broad brushstroke approach is not the way to confront a group like Boko Haram.

ICC Note: Over the past year, India has seen the persecution spread across several states. In Maharashtra state, violence against Christians is expanding in step with the spread of Hindu extremism. Over the past year, Christians in India have been marginalized, beaten, killed and raped because of their Christians identity. Many of these Christians have had little to no legal recourse.
