Posted by Este | 09/12/2010, 1:55 pmIf Jesus was only a prophet and not God, there is no payment for sin, which means there is no salvation and when you die that’s it. No hope of heaven because there is no way to do enough good deeds to cancel out all your bad deeds. Because God is perfect and His standard is perfection you would have to be perfect to be with such a Holy God. So I am glad the it is not true that Jesus is not God or I would not be going to heaven. I am glad God cared enough about me to make a way to be with Him by sending his perfect sinless Son to pay for the sins of the whole world as it says in John 3:16 of the New Testament. John 3:16 For God so Loved the world He sent His only begotten Son that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish but have eternal life.
The real God is loving and loving enough to sacrifice Himself so you can be with Him but it would not be a loving thing for Him to ask any of you to sacrifice yourself to be with him? Which one sounds like a Holy, Loving, Forgiving God?
