Pope Benedict Resigns, Era of the Last Pope Approaches

According to the prophecy of Saint Malachy, Pope Benedict is the 111th Pope.

As if the sudden announcement out of Rome were not shocking and dramatic enough on February 11th 2013, God put an exclamation point on it by having lightening strike the Vatican Dome yesterday. Here is the amazing photo:

Saint Malachy had prophesied centuries ago that there would be 112 Popes. The last Pope would be “Peter the Roman” or “Petras Romanus,” who would lead the church during a time of great world tribulation, culminating in the advent of the Antichrist and the Judgment of the World.

With the Pope’s announcement today that he will soon be stepping down due to the difficulties of advancing age, we will witness the selection of the last Pope in March 2013 of this year, if you believe Saint Malachy’s enigmatic prophecy of the 112 Popes including his prediction of “the last [ 112th] Pope.”

The Prophecy of the Pope: definition

“The prophecy was first published in 1595 by Arnold de Wyon, a Benedictine historian, as part of his book Lignum Vitæ. Wyon attributed the list to Saint Malachy, the 12th‑century bishop of Armagh in Ireland. According to the traditional account, in 1139, Malachy was summoned to Rome by Pope Innocent II. While in Rome, Malachy purportedly experienced a vision of future popes, which he recorded as a sequence of cryptic phrases. This manuscript was then deposited in the Roman Archive, and thereafter forgotten about until its rediscovery in 1590.”

Every Pope to come was accurately named and described by Saint Malachy in his prophecy, a spiritual feat unheard of, inspiring millions to take the content of his prophecy more seriously as the centuries have passed.

I have gathered some videos on this topic today, and I will be adding them to this post as I review each one, but I wanted to get this out right away. This story will be all over the world media for days on end and it is HUGE. Check this post every hour or so for updates.

  2. Malachy’s prediction of the next (and last) Pope is that he will be “Peter the Roman”. The current Vatican Secretary of State is Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone whose middle name is Pietro; he was born in Romano Canavese, Italy. He is considered Pope Benedict’s closest confidente. Interestingly, he was directly involved in a controversy of the Vatican’s “supression” of the third secret of Fatima.

A prediction: he will take the name of Pope Pius XIII based on a vision of Pius XI that this Pope who is his namesake will be killed.

    • I was just reading about Cardinal Bertone this morning. Some religious authors speculate he may be the next Pope, and that he has conspired w/ Pope Benedict in many unpleasant intrigues which are now let loose in the Vatican. George Noory [ coast radio ] has interviewed several authors, including John Hogue [ ] who believe Bertone is high on the list of those who might be the next [ possibly last?] Pope. I am following all of it w/ great interest.
